1 John 2:15-16

1 John 2:15-16

"Do not love the world, nor the things in the world.

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world."

Why do I want to go to a pretigious university?

What drives me to do my best for it?

Is it because I love the world or the things in the world such as the lust of the flesh (promised wealth), and the lust of the eyes (the better view), and the boastful pride of life (my pride and fame)?

If my purpose is driven by that, I should give up.

Superficially, I say I pursue the vision given by God for the glory of God.

The vision is planting Christianity in the secular education so that the educated people can learn the spirit of Christianity and the truth of God, and they eventually grow up disciples of God.

Wealth and honor and authority may follow me through the course of achiving my vision, but they must not be in the list of my purposes.

If I want those kinds of things and do try to succeed, I'd rather do nothing.

Rather than what I do and what I have, what I be is the ultimate goal of my life.

I want to be a person who is stable and is able to persevere if I lose all things such as wealth, honor, and power, the worldly things, because they are not worthy.

The reason why I want them is I need them for the work of God. If God does not allow me, I will not do.

I rather hold the spirite of the Father and the truth of God.
